Biography of Albert Einstein       Albert Einstein was born in Ulm, in the Kingdom of Württemberg in the German Empire, on 14 March 1879. He was known to be a theoretical physics scientist who is widely regarded as the greatest scientist in the 20th century. He put forward the theory of relativity and also contributed greatly to the development of quantum mechanics, statistical mechanics, and cosmology.    His father's name was Hermann Einstein, a fur bed seller who later underwent electrochemical work, and his mother was Pauline. They married in Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt. Their family is of Jewish descent, Albert was sent to a Catholic school and at the request of his mother he was given violin lessons.       In his childhood, Albert Einstein was known as an autistic child who was very retarded because of his ability to speak very late.
